« Part 8: Siding, electric rough-in, and more Part 9 of Woodshop/Garage Build series no next part

With a heavy heart and very depressed attitude, this will be my last update on my garage/shop project. The garage is technically finished, but far from what I envisioned it looking like. This is because my wife and I will be soon moving away and selling our house and new garage. I have accepted another job with a brighter future that is closer to where we both grew up. I will be joining a new veterinary practice with ownership potential in the next 2-3 years in a large practice. I knew my future wasn’t where we live now, bu figured we would be here for 5-10 years and not 2 years, but as the short term will suck, the longer term will be worth the move. I am currently looking for a new house with potential for building right away, given that we sell our house soonish and get what I put into the garage (or very close to it). So sad, but I will post once I start building my next garage.

One of those bittersweet events. I have followed your garage progress with interest I now look forward to your new location – just think, maybe you’ll find a place with a shop building on site!

Good Luck with your new adventure. I’m sure you’ll have fun building a new shop
