I think it will always be in process. When we moved in a few years ago it was an un-insulated two car garage. I can barely squeeze in my wife’s two seater (good thing it is small) and we only do that when it storms and during the winter. I can’t finish the built in cabinets until I build my wife’s kitchen cabinets because of the tool boxes.
Since I am a quality guy I am an am an organization fanatic. I guess you can tell that from the shadow boards and the labels. I can tell some of you are laughing….. Yes I did label the clock and the thermometer. If I moved them and took another picture you would see that I painted the board gold behind it too. Everything is that way so I can see if anything is missing at a glance….. you can stop laughing now. My wife still makes fun of me but she doesn’t look for anything.
The wood! Isn’t it sweet! My wife gave me wood for my birthday, lol. Now if I could just find the time to do something with it. The problem is I am a workaholic and never seem to find the time to work in the shop. For the last few years my wife has also been ill so it also kept me from the shop a bit, but things are starting to look up so I will be making so sawdust soon.
Enjoy the pics, I will hopefully post some pics if I get anything built. I have promised several things so maybe I will get something done and I will surely run across some problems.

SPECTACULAR SHOP.I love the labels on everything, and the organization.
I’m sure it must be a great place to spend time.

Bill, this has got to be one of the most organized shops I have had the opportunity to tour. I can guarantee you that I will not be looking at these pictures when my wife is anywhere close. She is borderline OCD with respect to keeping things neat and organized. When she “helps” me clean up my shop I spend days trying to find my hand tools again. And my power tools are all stacked along one wall and, of course, I can’t get to the one I need without moving several others. But she means well!!:)
I really like your storage cabinets. These definately do need labels on them since I would forget where I had stored my tools if I had this many drawers to use. And it is nice to have both this much head room and wall space to store your wood vertically (and organized by species, wow!). I have to store mine horizontally and it can be a challenge to get a piece from the back of one of my rows. But I would enjoy working in there.
Thanks for the pictures. I enjoyed visiting your shop.
