I have so many ideas to try out down in the shop. I’ve been working on trying to clean up the shop a bit, removing some of the clutter. I wanted to try building some extra shelving on the wall, maybe some more nooks on my workbench for different tools. I’ve always like the idea of french cleats. Though, I don’t really want to do too much work, as my wife and I have though about moving soon.

I’m also looking at building a router table (one that fits onto my TS somehow), and an air dust filter, and a TS sled (I’ve actually started that), and a sharpening station. On top of that, I’m working on some at least one actual project: an end-grain cutting board for my mother for Christmas.

The cutting board project isn’t going as well as I’d hopped. None of the stuff I seem to cut is as square or as straight as I’d like. I’ve had to saw down parts, and scrap some pieces. My 12×18 cutting board is down to 12×10. Gluing a flat surface isn’t even that easy, when you don’t have anything to reference (and don’t have $50 clamps). It all gets a bit discouraging, but I’ll press on.
