Thanks for the welcome from you both. Yes, I am an artist but have not made anything in wood. I am looking for directions for a Inkle loom, they look so simple to make.

Diane – Well I checked out what an Inkle Loom is and it looks facinating! I think anything we do with our hands is very therapeutic and rewarding. I was amazed at how many furniture quality inkle looms I found with a basic internet search. Bleow are a couple of links that might be helpful.

Wow, David the first link you posted I found after days of looking, actually I found that one yesterday. The second one looks pretty good the best I’ve seen for directions to make one. I really can’t make one myself, I was thinking of asking someone I know. I will have to do more reading to see how to use this thing first. I will post another link I found incase someone is interested enough to learn this craft. http://www.dickblick.com/zz650/07/ sells one, if I buy one I might get it from them since it is local and they take returns if there is a problem.

Here is the site that I found that seems to have the best directions on how to use these looms. http://inkleweaving.com/

Diane – very intersting link, thanks! Sure looks pretty simple to build. Just need to be sure to make it sturdy enough for the stress of weaving. Hopefully someone local will be able to assist you.

Michael, ha ha, you made me smile with that one.

Each guy that replies I go and look at his site. I already went and saw yours today when I was reading and looking around. You have nice stuff, I liked it all.

There is a guy on here that makes these Inkle looms. He e-mailed me back 4 days ago but I didn’t even know it, I hope he sees my reply now that it is so late. He does a nice job. I need directions with the loom though since I don’t know how to use one so that was one of my questions.

Michael, just went to your site , it wasn’t what I saw today but I thought I remember that it was your stuff. It was a mag-rack, a wall hanging with some hooks, three tables that seat ontop of each other and some kind of table.

I’m getting a quote on an Inkle loom from someone from this group, I may be weaving very soon. I love it that some even make there own musical instruments.

The magazine tables I made for a friend of mine, the nesting tables replaced a pine set, the wall shelf with the hooks were a gift to my brother in law/pastor. And the two different sites were problaby my home page which are Hard Rock Maple Cabinets and my projects page which has several of my projects so far. I’ve made 10 tables so far in the past 4 or 5 months, and I see more in my future.

Thanks for taking the tour.

Hi Bill,

I might be buying an Inkle loom from a member here, still reading up on the craft to see if it is indeed something I want to do.

That would be great if I could have someone to make stuff for me like you mentioned. I have no ideas in that direction right now do you?

Hi Oscorner,

Here are a few of my pages of my crafts and art. The frog painting was what it looked like when I first started it it looks much more life like now. I did a landscape painting too that I don’t have on either of these pages. I’m working on my forth painting now the frog painting that I pictured on one of these site pages. I have done alot more things than what’s on these two pages.

It looks like I didn’t make pages to show my jewelry. These pages I’ve posted were made just to send photos in e-mail they weren’t meant to be website pages so I didn’t correct errors. http://community-2.webtv.net/fblooms/DianesCrafts/

This one shows a slate piece I got ready for painting, I don’t have a clue what I’m going to paint on it yet. These are old slate shingles, they can make beautiful works of art. The belts on the other link I gave are my own idea.

I think I’m going to replace my photo with my flower painting so everyone get to see it, than I’ll put it back to my photo later. Will see if it takes the painting picture to let me do it.

Hi Diane,

Just a quick thanks for the banana recipe, i think I’ll be giving it a shot in the next day or so. My girlfriend is slowly transitioning to a raw foods diet. I’m new to the site, and certainly didn’t expect to get a dinner recipe, such an added bonus!
Thanks!
