I am an amateur woodworker. For years, I have been building small projects to make my life easier at home. Since I was in the Army, it was hard to buy or better yet plan on a long stay to build a shop and the tools needed. I retired and took up a normal job which allows me more time to my passion. I am concentrating in building my workshop and fine-tuning my new tools and skills which I intent to commit to furniture building.
I recently purchased a complete set of tools from Shop Fox. I decided to buy industrial quality equipment since I plan on passing on my tools to my son and hopefully on. I am still calibrating and adjusting my tools to fit my workshop design and work style.
My first project for the workshop is a woodworker’s bench. After acquiring a great number of timbers from an old barn which I reclaimed, I decided to study all of the common designs to possible, design and build my own style.
My second project is a long list of project provided by my faithful customer, my wife.
