I get many requests asking me to do a tutorial on several of my projects.
The most interest is in the following items :
#1-Propellers
This is the 4 ft version I made for one of the contests, but I made a 6 ft that I havent posted yet.
#2-Art Boards
I think cutting boards have been covered pretty well lately, with some outstanding designs that I cant wait to try out for myself. My boards are less functional and more for display. They are pretty easy to make once you get started. They just require more self expression, the final design coming from the maker as it is being made.
#3-Boxes
I am regularly answering mail ( and thats OK ) asking for more details on how I shape and finish them, how I select the combination of woods, and also on making dividers, especially the new ones.
#4
Clocks
I have two that I designed and they both use spline joinery. One is a Mission style and the other an Art Deco style.

I would enjoy sharing all of the design and build details on each one of these, but I just dont have enough time. I am currently working on something for the contest and I hope I meet the deadline this time :-)
So, what I am asking for once again is feedback from anyone listening.
I am offering to do another tutorial on whatever project I get the most votes on.
It will be based on the same format I used for the boxes….. just not so long. ( hopefully)
I have multiple versions of some of these projects, so please take a look at my projects page and make mention if you are interested in a specific design. (Art Boards for example)
Thanks for reading,
Andy

Your method on those cutting board designs would interest me, plus the boxes, of course. Thanks for so generously sharing, Andy.

Andy,
I would be very interested in the clock first and then the art boards second. Thank you so much for wanting to do this. I am sure it is appreciated by all.

I looked over all your projects. I’ll cast a vote for the clocks – only because I am trying to pick one. Any of the above would be very interesting.

I have been over and over your blogs on the boxes. It would be nice to have more on shaping and finishing.
The propeller is so cool I would like to see that presentation too.
I have special interest in airfoils. My first job was a Pratt & Whitney draftsman- on the airfoil team.
Can’t choose just one….sorry.
Whatever you do will be awesome !!

Andy, The generousity of your offer is very inspireing. You have invested a lot of time and effort to help all of us become better woodworkers. You are a true craftsman and artist.
Your tutorials are very informative and easy to follow. There have been several boxes done from your tutorial and they have all been great. What ever you decide to do will be widly recieved and appreciated by many. I leave the choice up to you.
Thank you again for takeing the time and effort to help all of us.

Andy, the tutorial you did on the boxes was so good and easy to follow, that trust me, we will appreciate any one you decide and I know I will give it a try. What I lack in talent, I try to make up in passion. I really enjoy your projects and look forward to your next tutorial…........I know, I didn’t vote! 1. boards 2.clocks 3.another one on boxes and 4 propeller. ( I know we have a lot of pilots in LJ’s, so hope I didn’t upset anyone). LOL. Thanks for sharing with us.

Loved your art box tutorial. Very well done! All looks interesting, but I like the twist on the boxes best, boards second. Clocks look neat. Don’t know what I’d do with a propeller, but it looks cool, too!
