I had a nice mother’s day. My daughter painted me an oil painting, and dasHusband took me to the BigBox where I bought lumber for the chicken plucker I am building, and got some WD40 and a new saw blade for my circular saw.
Then we went over the in-laws house, where I sat around with dasFather-in-Law and cleaned my circular saw and put on the new blade while he and I talked about the chicken plucker, and the new cabinets he put in, and what kind of table-saw I might have room for. Then we took the circular out to his work shop and “tested” it on some scrap lumber he had lying around. Really, we just wanted to cut something up!
When we came home, dasHusband took my saw horses out to the patio for me, and put up a clamp light, and I ran an extension cord out for the saw. Then my daughter and I measured and marked up the lumber together, and she headed inside out of the “live powertools zone” while I cut lumber. It was a gorgeous clear night out, with a little bit of a crescent moon, nice and cool. It was very pleasant to work outside in the night air.
STacked all my lumber, took all the tools and lamp back inside, and I am in for the night now. The saw horses and lumber get to hang out on the patio though – tomorrow I’ll head back outside and start assembling this thing.
