« Part 1: Puttering. Part 2 of Random shop notes series Part 3: Now I know. »

Today’s been a day of other people working—I had a guy from the community maintenance staff looking at my down spouts, and there will be an electrician coming in a couple of hours to give me an estimate of what it’ll cost to run a couple of dedicated circuits for my shop and tell me if I need a sub panel or not.

That’s right – my 84 square foot patch of the basement is going to get all gussied up with some dedicated circuits! One for lighting and charging units, and one for my table saw.

The downspouts got a thumbs up from the maintenance guy after he cleared them, so the remaining water problems in the basement are just ordinary seepage. I’m probably going to cheap out on the wall waterproofing, and just give that sucker a good scrub with a wire brush and TSP before throwing a new coat of dryloc on it. I really should have it power washed and sanded before the TSP, but I’m not that into it.
