Tablesaw spline jig for picture frames
I made this kind of “quick and dirty” jig for cutting splines in the corners of picture frames today and thought I’d share. The frame in the clamp is cherry. I’ll post a pic of the finished frames…when they’re finished. The jig seems to work well, so far. I used to just put a couple of brads in each corner, I think this should be stronger. The miters were cut with a “Lion miter trimmer” I’ve not made a lot of jigs so this one took some time, probably a couple of hours. Hope this helps someone.Andy
