Very impressive work. How do you flatten the segmented rings?

I found that it is much easier to use stainless steel hose clamp to clamp the pieces instead of rubber bands. It is much more accurate and does not cause the pieces to go flying all over in case of a slip or break in the rubber bands. Thanks for refreshing my memory concerning the steady rest. I have one and should be using it now on the large bowl I am making.
