    LBD,

I've updated my profile a little….and my workshop a ton.

When I get back from deployment I will ba able to finish the shop and get to work on the great projects and memories ahead of me.

Thanks for prompting me to update that stuff.

Ta.. helps us all to know you better and you will appreciate what lies you told… in 10 years time.
    ... on a surprise surge deployment…
If it's local, have a beer for me… if it's abroad… Rodger, stay a dodger!
... my photo inventory is kind of light…
Just the workshop thanks… I'm too old for other types!

I do have to update my profile some…I'll make that my weekend project. Only issue is, while on a surprise surge deployment, my photo inventory is kind of light…but I will do what I can.

Thanks for the welcome….and the howdy.
    :)

G'Day A'R'. I appreciate comments made on my projects (be they positive or insulting) and I make an effort to see who I am speaking to.

Now 607 days ago you claim to be almost retired yet you are talking about deployment… which is closer? end-of-deployment or fully-retired.
I think a welcome may be a tad late, however, I can part with a belated howdy in relative comfort…

From the "flurry" of your projects (well the only two in the last couple of months), you may have some spare time, so how about a bit of ego boosting and give us a tad more than… rank, name and serial number.

Also while your at it, your workshop is currently a blank canvas. Your two projects have put the under coat on but you still haven't loaded the easel. A rundown of your environment would be nice (unless you have light fingered neighbors) so that,
    • you can come back in a few years (assuming you continue your LJ journey) and have a chuckle at what you had back then.
    • As I have said to others before… "It's nice to appreciate people's environment and what they have to work with… that way at least I could tailor comments/recommendations accordingly… I would not recommend the purchase of a large plane when you only have room for a small chopper…"
