Using a PET bottle as a drill stop

Hello felows,sometimes we need to make some holes for european hinge and we are far from our bench drills.

The idea showed below was what I did for make some holes and didn’t think about damage the oposite side of MDF doors.The PET body can’t damage the MDF or wood as well.

If you need deeper you can cut a little bit more aat bottle body.The cap of bottle didn’t be warm because I put a piece of round wood (like a hole saw rest of cut) for insulate it (not shown on pictures).

Very clever and a secondary role would be if you were drilling inverted the off cuts would stay in the bottle
