I want to share with you the latest: Today I applied the finish to the now flat bench top, and it was EASY. It was especially easy compared to the huffing and puffing I did two days ago, when I flattened the top with hand planes – a first for me. Some of you will remember my workbench developed a bad crown that ran along the entire length of the top. Well, now that heating season is over, I decided it was time to flatten it.
