Hi and thanks for the welcomes.
I have to admit, aside from making a few workbenches and a cider press, oh and a workshop/ mancave out of wood, I have had little experience. I have spent three decades working in metal. Building rally cars, kit cars and motorcycles, as well as tarting a few bicycles up. However after a life changing accident where I was hit by a car cycling home from work I have had a lot of time on my hands. As I will never ride a cycle again I decided to try and build a recumbent trike out of carbon fibre. To do so I will need to make jigs and templates out of wood as well as purchase / build tools. But after getting into the research of the woodwork tools I started to think that woodwork looks fantastic and something I want to try. I got through 120 pages of LumberJocks yesterday and I really want to be a part of it. I have already bought a router and I will purchase a table saw, make a bandsaw and sanders myself with the fantastic designs on here. I have months ahead of me before this can begin but this site is giving me hope and inspiration
Have your say...
