« Part 3: The box truss and bandsaw jig Part 4 of Building the AskWoodMan Roubo series no next part

I created a router jig and cut out the notches for the legs to sit in, but I ended up putting them too far in. This made it very easy to tip the saw horse from one side or another. Bone head move but lesson learned.
So this is the result … a filled notch and corrected placement. (along with some injured pride)

So I revamped my router jig and spread out the legs. But now I ran into a new problem with my wilton vice…... If I fully extend the vice then I run into the same problem with the bench tipping.. Looks like some heavier wood is in order.
I really like the vice but it looks like I’ll have to end up using some kind of kick stand if I need to clamp a big piece and not tip. Or Maybe .. weight the other side?

So here is the bench in its current form. I still need to cut some dog holes, sand, mount some rails for a my track saw and seal this puppy. I also plan on building a lower tool tray.

Thanks for looking!

I watch ask woodman all the time. He is very innovative and thinks outside the box. I would build this if I had a tiny bit more room in my little garage. Great job!
