You have dramatically improved this plane both in appearance and functionality. Do you have any assembled pictures of the restored plane yet?

How much elbow grease is involved? I ask because I have been using “Citric Acid” since reading about it here on LJs and it’s been very effective for me, however it isn’t a fully “automatic” process requiring me to wear out a cheap brass brushes on just about every tool. If the Evaporust is affordable and less time consuming, I’m all about giving it a try.

Very efective product, it brought back to life that nice 9½…...coincidentally, I was this morning loooking for info about the Electrolityc method (I have a 4½ smoother comming), but it’s a bit complicated…..This seems to be the easiest way to go!

Good show. I have a few planes in my blog that have had evapo-rust baths. I highly recommend. As far as elbow grease? Not so much IME. Some stuff does require a wire scrub and re-dip, but I really think it is a painless process.
