My plans and materials list for the creaton of my bench for Tooch’s Woodshop class are done, now the only thing left to do before the work starts is to get the lumber. The lumber I’ve decided on is the Pro Select Treated Lumber from Busy Beaver, as it does not have the green color to it as most treated lumber does. This is important because I plan on staining the bench.

In the meantime, before picking up the lumber, I’ve been finishing work on a lap-joint box, also for Tooch’s class. The box just needed stained and three coats of polyurethane.

Sounds like a good project. Just beware of treated lumber. Do not saw it without some good dust protection. Breathing the sawdust from treated lumber is a bad thing. I’d opt for something less hazardous.
