Pole barn advice

Hi everyone and thanks for the add! I am planning on building a 28×48 pole barn with 16 ft sidewalls with 8/12 cathedral ceiling trusses 4ft oc and wanted to know if this sounds like a good price that I got from my contractor? This includes one man door ,16×9 insulated high-end overhead garage door, 2-inch foam board under 4 inches of 4500 psi concrete floor with fiberglass mixed in and the outside to be covered with Hardie board/OSB/Housewrap and 28 gauge metal roof, vinyl soffits. The price I was given was $26,000.00. I am going to supply the windows and as a side, note the poles are the laminated type. I will supply the windows. Also, any excavation and final grading is included in the quote. Thanks for any advice and also any helpful hints.

ALB,
This is just one mans opinion and you know what is said about those. I have been building my shop which is a 30'×40' pole barn w/17' sidewalls over the past 3 years or so. I have done 96% of the work myself & started with an initial budget of $13,000. Needless to say I surpassed that amount in the 1st year but was able to get my main structure up. Over the last 2 years I have done a little at a time as money & time would allow. I still dont have the shop wired and have to run everything off of a 12/2 extention cord. I have built a 2nd floor loft for storage and my woodshop is under that. Almost every square inch of other space is filled with stuff and not even close to being as organized as I would like.
All of that being said and in hindsight, $26,000 does not sound like a bad price for a turn key shop that you can walk into and start having fun when he hands you the keys. I think if I had it to do all over again, I believe I would hire someone to build mine. Hope this helps & enjoy your new shop.

Dont know where you are located, but take a look at Blitz Buildings. http://www.blitzbuilders.com/

They put up my 30X40 polebarn in Tennessee and I had the concrete floor poured and did the electric myself. Total cost was under 10grand. When we moved here to GA I had planned on having them put one up here, but they had changed their coverage area and no longer came this far south. If you're within their service area, I'd give them a call.
