Well this will not turn out as I expected but it is becoming something very interesting to say the least. I am still happy with the Decisions I made about the joinery and the Carving of the legs. Although it is a pretty rough, there are some messy spots on this mortise and tenon joints for the beams. I have just done the one side so far so I have no idea if it is going to even look level or even sit level I am doing my Best on trying to make sure it’s level, when I put the legs together with the beams I leveled it up with the beams so, since the joints on the legs were not exact well the legs will be different lengths, but it’s funny it should work out and be pretty level, I marked all of the pieces and I am paying careful attention to not mix them up, not good in a situation like this. So Tomorrow I will do the other beam and begn Sanding the living you know what out of it! then a dry fit for any last minute corrections as usual there will be some and since this is totally by hand I am giving myself alot of lee way on the exactness. it’s my first really serious piece and I will be entering it in the Fair this year along with another piece I have in mind. but that is another story, so tomorrow no fishing “Dammit”! I so want to get out on the water and get a line wet, but I have to push this to get it done then I can go fishing and get straight on what I want my next piece to lookl like and what type of Joinery I want to do.
