Thickness Planner Buy - 25 replies Most of you know, a few months ago I found a dewalt jointer at a garage sale. It’s really nice but I really need a thickness planner too. I don’t have room for a planner on a stand, just a benchtop planner that I can slide under the workbench for storage. I’ve looked at a few planners, the rigid, porter cable, dewalt, and grizz... |

12v VS 18v - 7 replies Me and my Grampa where thinking about 12v tools yesterday. He says he has a 12v drill, that the battery dies really quick. The new craftsman nextec tools look really cool, but use a 12v battery. I’m afraid if I get a nextec tool, the battery will die really quick, and I’ll never use it. I own a HF 18v drill, that works very well. But... |

Table saw spline jig. (and dovetail joints) - 4 replies Most of my boxes, I use a porter cable 4212 dovetail jig, (with through dovetails) but splines are handy for picture frames, and lots of other things.( Also I use box joints a lot too) The main problem with through dovetails, they take a long time to cut them all.
