I know a lot of people have built this clock, but it was the only thing I could think of for my dads birthday. My dads in a new office, so I knew it would be great in there. Its made out of 1’ thick walnut and maple. The frame is walnut, and the clock piece is maple. The dowels are oak, so there very strong. The clock you can buy at craft stores. The prices range from $8.99-$18.99, I bought the cheapest one, at $9.99.
Here’s a photo of the clock,

I found that stacking wood on the ground was taking up a lot of floor space. Above where the wood was, There are some cabinets. And then I thought, what if I could stack my wood on top of the cabinets. I built some beams that would hold the wood so the cant fall down. The beams are screwed into the cabinets with pocket hole joints. Here’s a photo of the rack complete,

These wren birdhouses are easy to make. Six pieces make this wren birdhouse. The two sides, roof, front and back, and bottom. I used a brad gun to tack the pieces together, but you could use screws. It has a 1’ hole, drilled with my drill press and spade bit.
Here’s a photo of them,
The wood is cedar, the wood will never go bad.

The hole has a screw in it, you stick your screwdriver in the hole, and screw the screw in the tree.

Table saw tenon jig

Tenon joints are one of the strongest woodworking joints. They fit into a mortise, and make a very tight joint. There are many ways to cut a tenon. The most common way is to use a tenon jig on a table saw. I want a easy jig that will slide on my table saws fence. I don’t want something to complicated, just something that will get the job done. If anyone has any ideas. Please leave a comment below.

1936 Delta/Rockwell 10' Bandsaw

This 1936 Delta/Rockwell 10’ bandsaw, Is a machine that was giving to me. It was in really rough shape when I got it. But with a little cleaning it’s almost like new. The blade that came with it was 60 years old! So I replaced that, and cleaned the table. The belt that goes around the wheel I replaced also. Its a 1 HP motor, and made by delta/rockwell. The stand was built out of metal and wood. It weighs in at 180lb but can be moved with the wheel’s on the stand. Works well, and runs smoothly.
http://i1128.photobucket.com/albums/m498/Phoenixthemodder/th_3b03220c.jpg
Thanks for looking!
AJ

I picked up a Dewalt 1950’s 6’ jointer for $75 bucks at a garage sale. It took us about an hour to load it in the car!
I think it’s from the early 1950’s. It’s a three blade cutter head, and a cast iron fence. 110/220v Runs very smooth.
The cord is in bad shape. Post below if you know how to replace a cord on this jointer.

http://i1128.photobucket.com/albums/m498/Phoenixthemodder/th_e82d271e.jpg

Bigger saw

Table saws are useful for projects if you have the right saw. I own the porter cable jobsite table saw, and its a really nice, portable, Saw. But for a woodworker that uses it every day can lead to problems. First problem the runner slots in the table are five eight’s in. Wide. All of the sleds and jigs that you can buy for your saw are not five eights. Which makes it very difficult to find a new miter sled. The fence is a huge problem as well. I cant find a fence on a jobsite table saw that locks in straight. Mine has so much play in it that its inpossible to lock in it straight. I dont get the point that you have all of these issues in a saw like this.

So im upgrading to a hybrid saw. Ive used almost all of the hybrid saws and the one I am thinking about buying is either the Masterforce table saw from menards listed at $599 US dollars. Or the Rigid hybrid table saw from home depot listed at $499 US dollars. Im leaning to the masterforce table saw but Ive had alot of rigid tools and they are still working great.

Which one would you buy?
