Location: Albuquerque, NM

I've been fortunate over the last several years in being able to make my living by combining three of my greatest joys - writing, photography and woodworking.
For 10 years or so, until our family moved to Albuquerque, I worked as an associate editor on the staff of Fine Woodworking magazine. The job allowed me to travel the country, photographing and learning from some very fine craftsmen and women - wonderful people all.
We returned to the Southwest this past spring (2014) to be closer to family and, with my wife working full-time, I am now working as a freelance writer, editor and photographer. I plan to continue producing occasional articles for Fine Woodworking, with special attention to the great and growing woodworking community we have here in NM, Colorado, Arizona and Utah.
I joined LumberJocks because I am hoping to connect with other woodworkers in the area, and to share and learn from everyone. I'm excited to be part of the community.
Thanks for having me aboard!

Patron and Rick, thank you both for the welcome! Just getting my feet under me here in Albuquerque after a cross-country move earlier this year. Trying to get my garage shop set up…Patron I may take you up on that coffee offer, but I suppose I’ll have to find someplace local to lay hands on some walnut first. I know only of Albuquerque Hardwoods and Exotic Hardwoods here in town…

Have your say...
