So I was asked to build this as a retirement shadowbox. Any ideas on how it’s going to turn out? How would you build it?

I’m so glad you are back to creating projects. I think for this one the globe could be the shadowbox with the continent lightly etched/sandblasted onto the glass. The eagle and anchor could be routed or intarsia (your the best at intarsia).

I would cut everything on my CNC machine so it has a 3D relief to it then use the globe as a spot for all ribbons and such.

How about a star shaped shadow box with the flag in between the lower points. CNC the 2 wings (birds) Light etching of the circle on the star shaped plexi-glass (won’t be able to use real glass because of the weak inside corner on the bottom).
