I FINALLY got my new work bench, I order it aug. 2011 and got it feb. 2012. Anyway I happy with it. Its 60” wide and made of birch.

This is a cake plate that my father in law (Glen) and brother in law (Lee) made for my mother in law (Edith), for her birthday. It is made from three pieces of mesquite.

This is a pen and case that my father in law made for his wife’s birthday. The pen kit is a Cambridge hybrid titanium gold accents with sterling silver fountain pen, from beartooth woods. The pen blank is truestone. And the pen case is indian rosewood with turquoise inlay. Great job Dad.

New bottle stoppers the one on the left is bocote, the middle is a blank that I got from Beartooth woods called cancun, and on the right is purpleheart with a captive ring. The bocote and the purpleheart were finished with ca glue and then friction polish on all three. And as allways thanks for looking.

This is a curly maple bowl I made this weekend. Its about 8” in dia. and 2” tall. I finished it with three coats of arm-r-seal. Thanks for looking.

I bought a captive ring tool so I wanted to try it out on this piece of cedar. It looked ugly while I was turning it, but once I hit it with some sandpaper I think it turned out ok. I then wiped on a few coats of salad bowl finish. Thanks for looking.

The pen on the left dose glow in the dark, the red thing to the right of that is a seam ripper for my mom, to the right of that is a euro twist pen kit useing a “red tide” blank from Bear Tooth Woods, and to the right of that is a slimline pro click pen kit useing a “cancun” blank also from Bear Tooth Woods. This is my second mesquite bowl to do. It is 2” tall and 8” wide. I finished it with blo and ca glue on the out side and salad bowl finish on the inside. And I used inlace as an accent. Thanks for taking the time to look at my work and as always comments (good or bad) are welcome.
