Have been making sawdust for more than 50 years, but only recently have discovered the satisfaction of doing more than subsistance woodworking. I'm a retired paper pusher, so actually seeing some tangible results from time spent on a task is very satisfying to me. Am definitely an amateur, but have a lot of fun expanding my vocabulary as I learn how to compensate for my mistakes.
Garage does double-duty as my 'shop', so my only stationary tool is a bandsaw; the rest are on mobile bases. I try to stay active throughout the year but the weather dictates somewhat seasonal activity. My project interests are quite varied, spanning the range from power boats to jewelry boxes. I do not have a right brain, so am highly dependent on pictures of others' work for project ideas. I have found this site to be a goldmine of ideas, and am impressed with the imagination and skill demonstrated by the lumberjocks. Thanks to all for the inspiration!
