I made the top guide for my band saw. The others were worn out. I just could not see paying the prices they are asking for store bought guides. The material is a phenolic one half inch thick of which I have a plenty.

Very nice. How does it move laterally? Is there a slot in the screws in the back (I can’t really see it). I have been considering doing the same to my band saw

Yes, the 4 allen head bolts that hold the sides on are quarter inch and the holes are drilled to 5/16 inch. This allowed enough movement to adjust the sides to the blade.

I did my bottom guide today. They seem to work well.
