Bass Wood - 7 replies

I have 12, 3/4” x 8 1/2” x 4’ bass wood. What could I use it for? I know it’s used for carving but I don’t carve. I was thinking drawer boxes but I think it’s too light and soft for that. If I decide to sell it any thoughts on what it’s worth?Thanks.

My sister in law found this at a flea market. She thought it was cool and is going to hang it. I’ve never seen one before. It looks to me like the top rail mounts to something and the saw blade swings back and forth. My guess is a ice saw?

Hand Saw Question - 2 replies

This was hanging in a store. A western style, the handle was broken and the badge was missing. I’m just wondering why the first few teeth are longer than the rest. I’ve seen pictures of the tab on the saw blades but never this. To me it looks like you could hook the next piece to cut and pull it over. Thanks in advance.

I was given an HVAC motor/fan. Three speed. I originally used a three speed pull chain fan switch which worked but the wires would pull out. Same problem, two switches.
