I hate my Tablesaw a little less now

I hate my Tablesaw a little less now

First, some back-story: I’m the less-than proud owner of a Craftsman 21833 tablesaw and, for those of you who don’t know, it’s a TS that’s not known for being consistently precise (read: I spend a lot of time adjusting it). I had been using the old, cheap, method of a brass tack driven into a board that was then clamped to the miter gauge for aligning the blade to the table. It worked ok, but I never could seem to get it to where my joints were perfectly square and...

Nice Intro to Arts & Crafts Furniture Making

Nice Intro to Arts & Crafts Furniture Making

My wife and I both love Arts and Crafts furniture and as we get the funds to replace our old, kid-destroyed furniture we have pretty much decided that this is the style we want go with. So, I bought this DVD (actually a DVD-ROM for your computer) to get started. The whole thing is in PDF format and when you first open it on your computer you are greeted with an interactive menu organized by room; living room, dining room, bedroom along with other links to finishing, joinery (7 different art...

Great Shop Apron

I was in need of a drill press but I was short on funds, and after searching around here and other places I decided to go with this unit. Having been burned a couple times before with smaller power tools, I was a bit leery about buying anything big from Harbor Freight, but most of the reviews I saw were more or less favorable so I went for it. When I went to the store to buy it, it was on sale for $239 (reg price of $299) and the cashier let me use my 20% off coupon (which I am pretty sure ...

Tool Shop Nailer/Brad Nailer-Stapler/Pin Nailer Kit

I picked this set up from Menards as a birthday present to myself. I had a Harbor Freight brad nailer that was, well, a harbor freight tool; a total piece of stinky-stuff. So, I was in the market for a new one plus I had been dreaming about getting a pin-nailer as well when I saw this kit on sale for $80. I picked it up after checking the return policy (knowing that ‘Tool Shop’ can be on par with ‘Harbor Freight’ in terms of quality) and took it home. First I̵...
