Got a question, hope you guys can help. I want to make a soccer type ball out of wood. I want it hollow in the middle. I want to piece it together out of 1/2” wood. Each piece of the ball will be flat, but when it is put together it will make a ball. My question is, if I use hexagons and six-side-agons (what ever that shape is) like on a soccer ball, what is the angle I need to cut the pieces at?

Have you made yours yet?I have doe some research on them and found that you need 20 hexagons and 12 pentagons. The angle on the edges of the hexagons are cut back at 20.9 degrees. The angle on the pentagons was 16.4 degrees in one site I found and 18.7 degrees on another site.
